Your role
As a European Account Manager, you are responsible for developing and growing customer accounts across the EU. You combine strong commercial skills with technical understanding to advise customers on the best packaging solutions and to further expand business together.
You act as a trusted partner for your customers, looking beyond price discussions and focusing on value, innovation and sustainability.
Your tasks
- Manage and further develop a portfolio of European customers
- Act as the primary commercial and technical contact for your accounts
- Identify and realise new commercial opportunities with existing and new customers
- Advise customers on carton-based packaging solutions and applications
- Translate customer needs into concrete commercial proposals and value propositions
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, innovation, operations, supply chain)
- Support value engineering discussions and margin development
- Build strong, long-term relationships beyond purchasing level
- Continuously strengthen VGP’s positioning as a strategic, sustainable packaging partner
Your skills
- A strong commercial mindset combined with technical insight
- Experience in packaging is a strong asset — experience in carton packaging is an absolute plus
- Experience in B2B account management, preferably in an international environment
- Ability to discuss technical solutions in a clear, customer-oriented way
- Entrepreneurial attitude: proactive, curious and opportunity-driven
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working autonomously while being part of a collaborative team
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an asset
